BIOGRAPHY

For around ten or fifteen years I had stepped out of the music business and concentrated on other employment endeavors one of which took me to Austin, TX.

While living down in Texas I still played my guitar often but only played a couple of gigs over the years. I took in a lot of bands and musicians of the Texas scene that have shaped my ideas of who I want to be musically. I started practicing at home once again.

I have also fancied myself as a songwriter over the years and have hopes of getting some studio time one of these days. Until then I do my recording here at home and you can hear some of my efforts on the Music page of my web site.

Now in 2018 I find myself ready to step into the music scene once again. Back living in central Ohio and mostly doing solo gigs but "the bug" has struck once again I'm sure there is a band somewhere in my near future!

Keep a look out for me and if you hear of me playing somewhere be sure to come check it out! I look forward to seeing everyone somewhere out there!

I got my first guitar and started learning the chords to play back when I was about fourteen years old. For quite some time all it amounted to was playing and practicing around the house without much thought of really doing anything with it.

Somewhere along the way the idea of playing out in public arrived and I ended up doing a couple shows with my good friend J.R. Hunter back in Ohio. We ended up going our separate ways and before too long I met up with the guys that formed a local Ohio band called Southwind. We played mostly in clubs and bars doing the typical Friday and Saturday night gigs.

Things changed up for me once again and I ended up in another band that we named Bittercreek. This is the band where I believe I really excelled in and started to pick up my guitar playing techniques. I was in Bittercreek for several years and played many, many shows with that band including a show at the Ohio State Fair.
